In the Southern Hemisphere, Samhain (sow-in) falls around the end of April or beginning of May, this years exact date is 5th May. Marking the halfway point between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice.

It's celebrated as a time when the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead is thinnest, allowing spirits to visit the mortal realm.

People honour their ancestors, reflect on mortality, and prepare for the darker, colder months ahead. It's a time for introspection, divination, and rituals to welcome the new year while bidding farewell to the old.
